I am a digital resources librarian with a professional focus on how information, technology, and storytelling intersect. As a millennial, I came of age alongside the rapid expansion of personal technology; one of my earliest memories is my dad bringing home our first home computer.

I grew up watching reruns of The Twilight Zone, where moral questions and imagined futures blurred. Films like Maximum Overdrive and The Brave Little Toaster introduced me to stories where technology takes on agency.
In literature, Lois Lowry’s The Giver became a formative text for me. By the time Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games defined much of the young adult reading landscape during my high school years, I was already attuned to the genre’s ability to critique power structures and envision alternative futures. These early influences continue to inform my work today.
As a librarian, I approach science fiction not just as entertainment, but as a vital lens for understanding the effect technology has on culture.
