Reading Diversely: Making Intentional Choices When Seeking Out Authors and Titles

In this presentation, my colleague and I shared strategies for discovering and promoting diverse books and authors by introducing a variety of selection resources and readers’ advisory tools. There are practical ways to highlight inclusive materials through displays, booklists, and curated DEI-focused recommendations, while also sharing ideas for ongoing conversations through book clubs and other discussion opportunities.
