This is a cozy mystery with the vibe of a gaslamp historical fiction novel. There are familiar characteristics of Earth, with Pleiti being a university professor and the use of rail systems.

Mossa is a foil to Pleiti, so there relationship and romance is key in their development.

It’s fast paced with a lot of scientific jargon, but it’s a short enough book it doesn’t feel like too much for those of us with less familiarity.
