This is a unique narrative because the alien is directly speaking to the reader, breaking that fourth wall.

It is medium paced with the actional being primarily internal. The alien is processing their actions as they happen, making that the most important part of the story.

The frame of the book is the urban landscape with the alien having to navigate public transportation and apartments that are several story walk ups.
